school in san jose. what happened, amy? apologies to you -- okay, amy? >> technical difficulties, during a field trip, the students were on a bus and went to the college on a trip. the police say the sex offender was on the bus with the students. this happens last month. a viewer alerted us to the situation and wants to call attention to it. last night the viewer contacted us. we are still waiting to hear back from the school officials. we got a copy of this letter that went to parents saying that a registered association offender who was not authorized to be on the bus knew a district volunteer on the trip and was with the students on the bus back to high school to san jose but he did not have any contact of any kind with any student that day. registered sex offenders are not allowed to be on school property or to come in contact with underage students. now the san jose police department have confirmed it is investigating thissings -- this incident. no inappropriate conduct is reported but admits this is a serious violation of school policy. reporting live in san jose for abc7 news. >>

the suspects could have been linked to an armed robbery in san jose. here's the intersection where the drive-by shooting happened and police were led on a wild chase through three east bay cities late last night. our cameras caught the chase north through 880. police tried to pull the driver other in hayward for dui and reckless driving. but he sped off through san leandro and oakland. the car spun out of control between 580 between harrison and park and police cars slammed into it to box the car in. officers say people were throwing things out on the roadway. they never found the objects but officers did find weapons inside the vehicle when it finally stopped. >> they pursued the vehicle in oakland where it crossed across the center median. the three occupants were taken into custody from there. >> reporter: police believe those three could be tied to a shooting in hayward early yesterday afternoon. a man was driving with his wife and child at tennyson and kalaroga when he was struck by a bullet and taken to the hospital. he's expected to survive. a hayward police officer tweeted around mid

the dogs in 2007 but the dublin school board voted to bring them back last year. >>> san jose police are looking for two men that are suspected of robbing people leaving a light rail station. janine de la vega is at station with a look at the video police are hoping will lead them to the suspects. >> reporter: the second incident in the last couple of months where victims have been followed off of a light rail station and robbed in neighborhood. the first one happened on ray street but the latest involved a light rail station and happened in the evening hours. police want you to take a good look at these two men. one is black the other is latino and both appear to be in their 20s. on march 8th they followed victims off the train which is near capital avenue. this is video of the two suspects getting off the train. investigators say they confronted the victims in a neighborhood about a half mile away. it was there where they shot the victims. after the victims were robbed the suspects ran away. the first suspect is described as black being 5'10" ta
